Lighting the Path of Artistic Inspiration

Providing Maine and New Hampshire-based artists and musicians with the materials, instruction, and experiences needed to succeed.

Continuum Arts Collective (CAC) provides K-12 students equitable access to the materials, instruction, and experiences they need to flourish. CAC was founded in the summer of 2015 by artists, musicians, and educators, received its 501(c)3 nonprofit status from the U.S. Federal Government in February 2016, and is a registered charity in Maine and New Hampshire.

About Continuum Arts Collective

We champion diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and social justice and support students of all races, skin colors, economic backgrounds, religions, genders, gender identities or expressions, sexual orientations, national origins, genetics, and disabilities. We primarily serve student artists and musicians of all experience levels who attend public schools or are homeschooled in cities and rural areas.

Continuum: A continuous extent, series, or whole.

The continuum in our name comes from supporting the current generation of musicians by compensating them for performing at various private and public-facing fundraising events. These events also provide a venue for visual artists and other artisans to promote and sell their work. In essence, CAC supports professional artists and musicians to help seed the next generation of artists and musicians.

How It Works

CAC serves active Pre-K through grade 12 student artists and musicians in Maine and New Hampshire regardless of gender, race, skin color, socio-economic status, disability, religion, sexual orientation, religion, or nationality. We serve all levels: beginners, intermediate, and experienced. You can apply* as a student or the parent, teacher, administrator, or friend of a student.

COMMUNITY TESTIMONIAL

I think art’s important because it’s a good way to reflect on what you’re personally going through and also what’s happening in the world. And CAC helped pay for some art supplies and my tuition.
